Job Type: Locum / ContractRandstad is currently recruiting for an Assistant Team Manager (ATM) to join the Mental Health Social Work Team at Sutton Council.About the Role:
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day team operations, including staff supervision, workload allocation, and providing duty manager cover. You'll also offer guidance to team members while escalating complex cases as needed.This is a vital leadership role focused on ensuring commissioned services are cost-effective and aligned with the needs of service users. You'll also support service development through co-production with individuals and families.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and support team members in delivering effective mental health servicesOversee duty management functions and act as Safeguarding Manager for statutory safeguarding enquiriesEnsure effective allocation of workloads and contribute to case reviewsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support care planning and service deliveryParticipate in service improvements aligned with a strengths-based approachYou will be joining an established team that already includes two ATMs. This post will be the third, strengthening the team's capacity to deliver high-quality services under the Care Act and Mental Health Act.Requirements:Previous experience in a similar role within Adult Mental Health servicesSWE registration and Enhanced DBSStrong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and safeguarding proceduresWhy Join Randstad?Dedicated consultant supportCompetitive hourly rateOpportunities for ongoing roles across local authoritiesInterested?
