Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a patient, enthusiastic, and supportive individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Swinton (S64) area. As a Primary TA, you will work closely with students to provide individual support, foster confidence, and encourage positive behaviour, while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
  • Support pupils with learning tasks, ensuring they are engaged and motivated.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social development in a nurturing and inclusive setting.
  • Help prepare learning resources and maintain classroom organisation.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to meet pupils’ individual needs.
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards at all times.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Ability to adapt support to pupils of varying abilities.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
