This is an excellent opportunity to educate and rehabilitate adult learners.If you would like a unique and challenging non-teaching role, where you can genuinely make a difference, enhance the prospects of learners, and ultimately change people’s lives for the better – then this could be the opportunity for you.Details of this position:This position is for a Learning Facilitator to work in prison education.The role will involve working one-on-one and in groups with learners, assisting them in supporting their understanding and motivating them to pursue educational and personal growth.
  • Support the delivery of educational activities that enhance both academic achievement and personal skill development.
  • Provide individual and group support to promote learner engagement and build self-confidence.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
  • Monitor and accurately record learner attendance, progress, and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, prison officers, and other stakeholders to address learners’ educational needs.
Work schedule: 3 x 12 hour days 8am-8pm Monday – Friday with some flexibility to cover Saturday between the team.Salary scale: £27,000 per annumBenefits:

Suitable candidates will need to be enthusiastic, resilient and have a humanistic approach.   • A Level 3 teaching qualification is desirable, though not essential.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role is advantageous.
  • Experience within prison education or adult learning is highly valued.
