- Lead the delivery and ongoing improvement of the councils housing and corporate repairs service.
- Oversee staffing, budgets (c.£10m), and equipment to ensure effective service delivery.
- Manage large-scale repairs and maintenance programmes, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Lead on procurement and contract management of maintenance providers.
- Support operational teams and front-line operatives, being present on site 4 out of 5 days.
- Strong knowledge of building construction, property maintenance, and housing standards.
- Proven track record of leading operational teams in a housing or local authority environment.
- Experience managing high-value budgets and resources.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive service improvements.
- Ability to work primarily on site (4 days per week minimum).
- Demonstrable experience in housing repairs, construction, or property maintenance.
- Solid experience in managing contracts and procurement.
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
