Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 with occasional extended hours and weekendsAre you ready to launch your career in dentistry? We are currently recruiting for two part-time Trainee Dental Nurses to join our busy and growing practice in South Norwood, just a short journey from central Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity to receive hands-on clinical experience and structured mentorship while working towards your dental nursing qualification.About the Practice:We are a well-established NHS and private practice, registered and monitored by the CQC, delivering high-quality dental care in a warm, modern environment. Our services include general check-ups, hygiene treatments, cosmetic dentistry, and smile makeovers.As our patient base continues to grow, we are seeking individuals with drive and enthusiasm to support our clinical team while gaining valuable on-the-job training. You will be mentored by experienced dentists and receive full support throughout your dental nurse training.Your Role:As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you will work alongside dentists, hygienists, and therapists to ensure patients receive excellent clinical care and support.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain clinical areas to a high standard
  • Assist during a wide range of procedures, including radiography
  • Follow infection prevention and control protocols
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including dental charting and oral tissue assessments
  • Support and reassure patients before, during and after treatment
  • Provide oral health education under supervision
  • Assist in the event of medical emergencies in the practice
  • Adhere to GDC Scope of Practice and the British Association of Dental Nurses’ Code of Ethics
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proof of enrolment on a GDC-approved dental nursing course
  • High standards of infection control and hygiene awareness
  • Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to detail
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour
  • At least the first dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine
  • Right to work in the UK (valid visa and National Insurance number)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
