
Youth Worker within SEN Schools

- The school seeks a Youth worker within schools who will be confident, empathetic, patient and open minded.
- providing support and guidance to the students in their variety of learning needs and assistance with personal care / moving and handling with hoists.
- Delivering support to children aged 6-16 years old on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
- Building a trustworthy and lasting relationship with students, enabling them to reach their full potential whilst shining bright.
- The school is a specialist provision for children with SEN. The school teaches children from 6 to 16 years old in small classes with an ambitious curriculum and increased opportunities for SEMH development opportunities.
- The school aims to develop the full potential of each pupil in a respectful, inspiring and supportive environment.

- Experience in Youth Work (Preferable)
- Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links
- Experience with both small group and 1:1 is beneficial
- Friendly and nurturing qualities.
- Competent behaviour management skills.
- Have experience supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs and abilities – PMLD, MLD, ADHD, ADD, ASD, Global Delay, VI, HI, SEMH
- Preferablymoving and handling training or have recent experience in this.
- Have a patient and caring nature.
- Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- Willing to complete CPD training.
- Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- Excellent daily rates paid weekly by our in-house Payroll team using the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system.
