Airmid Staffing is on the lookout for a Support Worker to provide care to a young lady with Learning Disabilities. The right applicant will need to be committed to her growth and development, supporting her and her family with her individual-, short-, medium- and long-term goals.This is a unique opportunity to join a small, established support team, providing tailored one-to-one care that genuinely changes lives not just routines.About the Client:Our client is a lovely 7-year-old girl in Bridgwater. Shes non-verbal and visually impaired due to meningitis as a baby, shes very affectionate loves cuddles, attention and physical contact for comfort and reassurance. We need someone warm, calm, and understanding, with the ability to support her unique needs. An understanding of non-verbal communication is important, along with a genuine passion for providing gentle, attentive care.Main duties of the job
  • Supporting her within her own home and some low-level activities within the community
  • Integrating yourself into the daily lives of this family, to provide the highest level of care and development to this young person.
  • Encouraging independence while being a steady and reassuring presence
  • Work with the family, and the Airmid MDT to provide continuity and stability to this young person.
