They offer fabulous career opportunities with an impressive salary package with an OTE circa to £40k, Bonus Scheme, Company Pension Scheme, Overtime paid at Time and a Half over a standard 40-hour week, Life Cover, 25 days holidays + Bank Holidays and much moreThe opportunity of Workshop Engineer would suit a trained Car Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, Master Technician, HGV Technician, Roadside Recovery or similar.Their products are becoming more advanced and diagnostic, electric skills are highly desirable.Responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer:
  • Servicing and repair of material handling equipment.
  • Ordering of parts as efficiently as possible & ensuring all stock levels/movement records are accurate & correct
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately & within the stipulated time period & with the relevant order numbers
  • Manage own work-in-progress
  • Maintain a safe working environment & work in a safe manner
  • Report any unsafe practices or potential hazards immediately
  • To maintain familiarization with policies & procedures & adhere to these. E.g. IT Policy, absence policy, etc.
  • Attend training courses to maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment
Requirements of the Workshop Engineer:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance, Plant or similar is essential
  • Served full apprenticeship
  • Workshop Engineers, Workshop Technicians, Vehicle Technicians, Master Technicians, Mechanics, Plant Fitters, Roadside Recovery, Agricultural Engineers, FLT Engineers are all considered
  • Technical experience in Engines, Electrics, and Diagnostics is compulsory.
