We use our existing and new digital capabilities and information to power smarter more sustainable supply chains allowing us to reimage how we work and serve customers; reshape how we manage our assets and reinvent our business models allowing greater partnership with customers which solve customer problems.You’ll combine exceptional research skills with a track record of conducting high quality strategic and tactical research to direct decision making. You’ll also plan and lead user research projects, build user centred practices, and translate quality research into design, product, and organisational decisions by informing propositions and directions.Key accountabilities of the role include:Research practice
  • Lead and conduct a wide range of user research projects (from discovery to evaluative research, using a mixed methods approach tailored for each project.
  • Run high quality research projects end-to-end: planning, recruiting participants, conducting the research, analysis and reporting findings and insights and ensure learnings are being acted upon.
  • Be responsible for documenting research findings and communicating insights across to your direct team but also across stakeholders related to your project and beyond.
Advocacy
  • Involve colleagues and relevant senior stakeholders throughout the end-to-end research process.
  • Be hands on with stakeholder management and produce impactful actionable insights to inform, guide and shape design, product and strategic decisions at team and organisational level.
  • Function as the champion for user needs with multidisciplinary team members and beyond, making sure your insights are impactful and the voice of the user is heard.
Collaboration
  • Actively lead collaboration with product and other disciplines in your team to identify research opportunities that would bring excellent value and impact to Brambles.
  • Persuade colleagues and stakeholders on evidence-based decision-making and the introduction of new research initiative.
  • Be responsible for documenting research findings and communicating insights.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Exceptional mixed methods research skills, rigorous but understanding the balance between rigour and just enough research when appropriate.
  • Experience in a wide range of research methodologies
  • Strong analysis skills to distil hidden and longevity insights from research data.
  • Have a good understanding of the social and technological context for product and services and align research to understand the changing user behaviour.
  • Track record of translating research into real impact and value
  • Expert storyteller, communicating results and illustrating suggestions in compelling and creative ways to a broad and diverse audience including senior stakeholders.
Experience:
  • Experienced in leading research in complex, ambiguous contexts (multiple stakeholders, unclear or changing research needs, novel environments where the users and their needs are not well understood)
  • 10+ experience conducting research with a wide range of methodologies and can execute them to high standards, from diary studies, ethnography to planning quantitative research and carry out data analysis using statistical techniques.
  • Experience working in agile and multidisciplinary or cross functional teams.
  • Strong experience involving multi-disciplinary colleagues and stakeholders in the research journey, advocating user centred design and persuading sceptical colleagues and stakeholders.
Essential QualificationsDegree educated in relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience.Desirable Qualifications
