The Assistant Accountant will play a pivotal role in supporting the Accounting & Finance department within the industrial/manufacturing sector. This position is based in Cardiff and offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
  • Prepare and process financial transactions, including invoices and reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Accounting & Finance department.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve queries.
  • Contribute to audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function.
  • Provide support for ad hoc accounting projects as required.

  • A strong foundation in accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • An ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • A proactive approach to learning and a willingness to undertake study support if applicable.
  • Relevant qualifications or part-qualifications in accounting or finance.
  • Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector is advantageous but not essential.
