Location: Office-basedThe RoleWe are looking for an experienced Domestic Technical Claims Handler to join our growing team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll use your technical knowledge of buildings and construction alongside strong customer service skills to deliver outstanding claims handling.You’ll manage property insurance claims from start to finish – scoping repairs, validating claims, and guiding customers through the process with professionalism and empathy. No two days are the same, and you’ll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, problem-solving, and doing the right thing for customers.Skills & Experience That Will Help You SucceedTechnical claims handling experience (2+ years essential)Strong buildings & construction knowledge (2+ years essential)Chartered Insurance qualifications (Cert CII or Cert CILA) – desirableKnowledge of H&S and CDM regulationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail, data accuracy, and organisational skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience with CAD or insurance scoping systems such as Verisk (Xactware) or CoreLogic (Symbility) – desirableResourceful, empathetic, and willing to help customers find the best outcomeRewards & Benefits£25,000 – £30,000 per year (DOE)22 days’ holiday plus bank holidaysAdditional birthday holidayPerformance-related bonus schemeFlexible working hours
