We are looking for Therapeutic Radiographers to join our team at ESNEFT at Ipswich Hospital. Applications are welcomed from individuals who graduate this year.We focus on delivering high quality treatments in line with the National Radiotherapy Service specification. We see the holistic care of patients as paramount throughout the patient journey.You will provide the highest quality of technical practice, patient care and ensure targets are achieved and be encouraged to gain a comprehensive set of skills and competencies. You will be supported in your professional learning and development and we actively encourage post qualification study. You will also be key to the training of undergraduate therapeutic radiography students and support with mentoring and training.Our hospitals are equipped with Varian Truebeam linear accelerators, Halycon and an Ethos. All are equipped with Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) and Volumetric Arc Therapy (VMAT) capability, On-board Imaging (OBI) systems for image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) using planar imaging and cone beam CT (CBCT) and respiratory gating. They also have the capability to deliver Stereotactic Ablative Body Radiotherapy (SABR).We are looking for Therapeutic Radiographers who share our vision of providing state of the art treatment, delivered by caring and supportive professionals.Main duties of the job
  • Participate in all areas of the radiotherapy department, ensuring high standards of practice at all times.
  • To work as part of a team in an assigned work area, providing an efficient and effective service to patients
  • Operate Radiotherapy equipment delivering treatment safely and accurately within the tolerances defined for the treatment and imaging technique
  • Evaluate results of these processes and take appropriate action in line with departmental procedures
  • In conjunction with the Macmillan Radiographers, provide patient support and accurate, clear information to patients/clients regarding treatment process/side effects and their management.
  • To take part in the On Call service as required.
  • To work as part of a Multi-professional team.
  • Supervise more recently qualified radiographers/assistants/students working in the team.
