Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) provides a range of non-clinical Estates, Facilities and Procurement services to CDDFT.An excellent opportunity has arisen within Synchronicity Care Limited (SCL) for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed individual to influence and contribute as part of the Domestic Services Team at Darlington Memorial Hospital.Domestic Assistants are important members of the team who assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming environment over a 24/7 period for patients, staff and visitors within a busy acute hospital.The successful applicant should preferably have previous cleaning experience in a healthcare environment however full training will be provided and all successful post holders will be expected to work towards gaining a NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services .All post holders will be subject to a 6 month probationary period.The rota for the postion is a 2 week working pattern as follows:Week 1 - Mon, Sat, Sun 8pm until 6amWeek 2 - Wed, Thurs, Fri 8pm until 6amMain duties of the jobSuccessful post holders will be required to carry out specific cleaning and other related duties following set procedures and standards to maintain the levels of cleanliness throughout the hospital environment.They will be required to work as part of a team and have the ability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise and organise the daily duties, whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times regardless of the situation.They will ensure that communicaton channels are maintained between appropirate staff, visitors and patient groups with regard to departmental cleaning hygiene.Post holders will be also be expected to be flexible to the needs of the service ensuring that a continuity of service is maintained whilst adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.They will have the ability to work unsupervised, be caring, flexible and reliable and have good levels of personal hygiene.About usSCL is a wholly owned subsidiary of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) set up to deliver a range of non-clinical services The company is a separate legal body to CDDFT.SCL offers its own Terms and Conditions of employment which differ to the national NHS Terms and Conditions.
