Job descriptionQualified English and/or Maths Outreach Tutor (Afterschool Hours) in Bromley and surrounding areasABOUT THE ROLEAre you a passionate educator looking to make a real impact outside of the traditional classroom? Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated Outreach Tutors to deliver 1:1, tailored learning sessions in English and/or Maths to students who currently require additional support afterschool in Bromley.This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers, tutors, or intervention specialists who want more flexibility, additional income, or a rewarding change of pace-while helping re-engage young learners and build their confidence.As an Outreach Tutor, you’ll work directly with pupils who may have gaps in learning or emotional barriers to overcome. Sessions are personalised, allowing you to adapt your teaching to the student’s needs, interests, and pace – making learning enjoyable and impactful again.WHY THIS ROLE MIGHT BE PERFECT FOR YOU:

  • Position: Outreach Tutor (English and/or Maths)
  • Location: Bromley and nearby areas (in-person sessions)
  • Contract Type: Temporary (flexible & ongoing)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Schedule: Flexible-choose part-time or full-time hours depending on your availability
  • Session Duration: Minimum 1 hour, max 3 hours per session
  • Pay Rate: From £25 per hour, dependent on experience
REQUIREMENTS
  • Qualifications: QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent required
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of UK school-based experience
  • Safeguarding: Recent safeguarding training (we can assist with this)

  • Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate (on the update service)
  • Be able to provide two professional child-related references covering the past two years
