We are looking for a passionate, reliable, and professional Cover Supervisor to join our team and help maintain an outstanding educational environment for students across various subjects.The Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing classes in the absence of the regular teacher. You will support students with their learning, ensuring they remain engaged, on-task, and follow the class's set activities. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive classroom environment and supporting the school's daily operations whilst abiding by the schools behaviour policy and directly reporting to the SLT staff.Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and manage student learning in the absence of a class teacher
  • Follow lesson plans and provide support to students to ensure they stay engaged
  • Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment
  • Ensure students follow the school's rules and behave appropriately
  • Provide support to students with additional learning needs when necessary
  • Report any concerns or issues to the relevant teaching staff or school leadership team
Ideal Candidate: * Experience working with children or young people (essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
  • A passion for education and supporting student learning
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Experience working with SIMS or Arbor register systems ( not essential )
