Service Advisor Vacancy - Corby Independent Garage
  • Position: Service Advisor
  • Location: Corby Independent Garage
  • Basic Salary: Up to £32,000 (Depending on Experience)
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Well-equipped independent garage with over 30 years of loyal customer base
My client, a respected and long-established independent garage in Corby, is looking for a friendly, confident, and outgoing Service Advisor to join their team. This is a key position within the business, ensuring an excellent customer experience while supporting workshop operations.Unlike larger dealership environments, this independent garage offers flexibility, no weekend working, and a supportive, close-knit team that values every individual.Key Responsibilities:
  • Be the first point of contact for customers both in-person and by phone
  • Handle customer enquiries and book vehicles into the workshop
  • Advise customers on cost, timescales, and repair/service details
  • Sell additional work as advised by technicians from Vehicle Safety Inspections
  • Communicate technical information in a clear, customer-friendly way
  • Record vehicle information accurately, refer to service histories, and follow up to secure repeat and incremental business
  • Support the team by meeting objectives set by the MD
  • Maintain high levels of professionalism and customer service at all times
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor
  • Confident, professional, and well-presented with excellent communication skills
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Some vehicle technical knowledge required
  • Experience with Garage Management systems and booking schedules is preferred (not essential)
  • Knowledge of parts would be an advantage
