What you will do:
  • Deliver tailored occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adults with autism and mental health issues
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to support the complex needs of the mental health ward
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for service users to promote their well-being
  • Use your expertise to train and support other staff members in autism and mental health best practices
  • Engage with families and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to care
To excel in this role, you should have experience working in mental health, ideally with a speciality in sensory integration training for autism. Being able to work on your own initiative is crucial due to the complexity of cases in our new mental health ward. The role requires an HCPC registration and at least 2 years of experience.
