Job Description:Title: Registered Nurse HospiceSalary: £28,834 - £35,099 pro rata per annum (Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 5)Hours: Part time 26.25 hours per weekContract: Permanent (Rotational on to days, nights and weekends)Location: Marie Curie Hospice, Bridgeman Rd, Penarth, CF64 3YRBeing a Nurse at Marie Curie is incredibly rewarding on so many levels. As a Marie Curie Nurse, you will provide high quality nursing care and participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care needs for the patient group in a palliative care setting, helping people to live their final days with dignity.You'll be part of a supportive team that truly cares about you and your development. Using a patient-centred approach and evidenced based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and co-ordinate care from admission to discharge. You will be expected to administer medication and treatment as prescribed in accordance with the NMC's and the Charity's policies and guidelines. What we are looking for:
  • RGN Registration Level 1
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of palliative care and the needs of patients with complex symptoms as well as at end of life
  • Forward thinking with excellent communication skills
  • Welsh speaking is desirable but not essential
