Your Role:
  • Teach and lead a class of pupils with severe learning difficulties, adapting your teaching style to suit a range of additional needs including Autism and complex communication challenges.
  • Design and deliver creative, multisensory lessons that support personal, social, and academic development.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities, helping shape the curriculum and supporting other staff in best practice.
  • Work closely with the wider team-including therapists, support staff, and families-to ensure holistic pupil progress.
  • Contribute to a school culture that prioritises wellbeing, inclusion, and achievement.
About You:
  • Qualified Teacher with Upper Pay Scale experience (UPS 1-3)
  • Experience in a specialist or inclusive setting (e.g. SLD, PMLD, Autism, SEMH)
  • Strong knowledge of EHCPs, differentiated learning, and alternative communication (e.g. Makaton, PECS, AAC)
  • Compassionate, reflective, and committed to delivering child-centred education
  • A team player ready to grow as a leader and make a wider impact in the Education and Training environment
