Our client, a leading organisation in the defence sector, is currently seeking a Security Cleared Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Derby.Key skills required for this roleQuantity Surveyor, NEC, Construction, Defence, Security ClearedImportantQuantity Surveyor, NEC, Construction, Defence, Security ClearedJob descriptionOur client, a leading organisation in the defence sector, is currently seeking a Security Cleared Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Derby. This role is available on a permanent or contract basis and involves working on a diverse portfolio of construction projects valued up to £20 million, delivered using the NEC form of contract.
You will need to attend the Derby office 2-3 days a week.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a full range of Quantity Surveying duties from project inception through to completion, working both as part of a team and individually
  • Prepare cost plans, estimates, bills of quantities, tender documents, and supply chain payment assessments
  • Provide construction phase contract Quantity Surveying services including change management, contractor payment applications, and final accounts
  • Prepare data and reports to timescales in a format required by line management and clients
  • Work collaboratively with other service teams to provide an integrated approach to client delivery
  • Develop client relationships and provide an outstanding level of service delivery on a project basis, in conjunction with senior management
Job Requirements:
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying
  • Experience in both pre and post contract quantity surveying duties
  • NEC contract experience
  • Understanding of applicable methods of measurement
  • Ability to work with the minimum of supervision and on own initiative
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
