Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon applicationWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a/b/c Clinical Psychologist to join our NHS client in Blackpool, Lancashire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, supporting adult mental health services.Key Responsibilities
- Provide highly specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for adults experiencing complex mental health difficulties.
- Offer expert consultation and advice to multidisciplinary teams to enhance psychological understanding and care planning.
- Deliver clinical supervision to junior psychologists, trainees, and assistant psychologists.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and audit activities.
- Support the implementation of evidence-based practices and psychological therapies across the service.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and legal standards.
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Significant post-qualification experience in adult mental health settings
- Advanced skills in psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention
- Experience in supervision, consultation, and service development
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-working abilities
