Contract Type: Long-term, Short-term & Day-to-Day OpportunitiesAbout the RoleWe are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting a variety of schools across the Yeovil area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with teachers and students, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can achieve their potential.Key Responsibilities
- Support students with their learning, either one-to-one or in small groups, in line with lesson plans.
- Assist teachers in preparing learning resources and classroom activities.
- Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in lessons.
- Supervise students during break times, lunch periods, and school activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and fellow support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Give feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
- Previous experience working with children (school or education setting desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

- Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
- This role is temporary, with the potential to become permanent.
