Special Needs Teaching AssistantExeterStart date: FlexibleSalary: £85-£95 a day, depending on experienceDo you want to work in a supportive, nurturing environment?Do you have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?Have you previously worked in an educational setting?TeacherActive are proud to be working with a SEND/Special Educational Needs and Disabilities School in Exeter. The school welcome children from aged four to nineteen and support those with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other moderate to severe Learning Difficulties.The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistants on a temporary to permanent basis, working with both primary and secondary aged school children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.Requirements:
  • 6 months experience in an education or care environment.
  • Experience of working with SEND children or children with autism.
  • Experience working with children with medical needs is not required but may be useful.
  • Previous experience working one-to-one or with small groups is preferred.
  • Experience working in a school environment is not required but will be an advantage.
