Nursdoc is currently seeking passionate and committed Residential Children's Support Workers to join our team, supporting a children's care home based in Shrewsbury.This role offers the opportunity to work with a new client in a setting dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred care. You'll be supporting children and young people in a nurturing environment that promotes independence, emotional development, communication, and social interaction. Our goal is to ensure each child feels safe, supported, and empowered.The ideal candidate will have:
  • A minimum of 6 months professional experience supporting children or young people in a UK care setting
  • A caring, resilient and flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to changing situations
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Nursdoc
Key responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional and practical support to children in line with individual care plans
  • Support children with daily routines, promoting independence and life skills
  • Foster positive relationships and offer companionship and consistent encouragement
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare policies are always followed
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and external professionals
