Run what runs the world.This Position reports to: Division Manager, System DrivesAs a Tendering Engineer you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering competitive, high-quality bids and proposals for our customers across the UK. Based in Daresbury and supporting our Motion High Power (MOHP) business, you’ll combine technical expertise with commercial insight to drive success. Here, your work creates an impact you can see and feel, every day.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.·Formulate and deliver accurate, timely bids and proposals aligned with customer requirements and business objectives·Collaborate with Sales and Application Engineering to develop competitive pricing strategies and high-quality work scopes.·Oversee the full proposal lifecycle, from opportunity screening and approvals through to submission, using Salesforce CRM.·Ensure compliance with government contracting requirements and commercial terms·Balance multiple priorities effectively, managing deadlines and setting clear expectations with stakeholders.·Understand contractual terms to assess commercial risk and pricing implications·Contribute to ongoing process improvements and maintain strong relationships across ABB units and external customers.Qualifications for the RoleBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.Experience in Tendering, Bids & Proposal or keen interest in this field.Experience with Drives and Motors is an advantage.Basic knowledge in electrical Single Line Diagram, Technical Specifications & Clarifications.Basic knowledge in Risk Management, Financial Acumen, Contracts & Legal clauses.Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods to meet tender deadlines.Some previous line management experience is preferrable.You will be fluent in EnglishInclude required languages, licenses, or visa info where applicable.More about usABB offers a full range of benefits to help you thrive at work and beyond.Competitive salary25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysCompetitive contributory pension schemeLife assuranceFlexible benefits scheme (Includes options to buy/sell holidays, health checks, dental, eye care, gym memberships, cycle to work, gadget discounts and more)Internal mobility opportunities, mentorships & access to projects globallyEmployee Assistance ProgrammeGenerous employee referral schemeFlexible workingPrivate medical coverGenerous bonus schemeFor the 5th consecutive year ABB UK has been recognised as a Top Employer in UK.
