As a member of this team, you will be part of a function that translates corporate strategy into operational plans, coordinated through various national and site-based roadmaps.The Sustainability National Representatives Network is a global network that operates in every nation and region where Airbus has a presence. This network was established to locally drive the development of:Robust regulatory monitoring and compliance across all sites and divisions.A sustainability management system that aligns with our ISO 14001 environmental certification.A cultural shift to embed sustainability in everything we do, both within the company and in the communities around us.Several company-wide roadmaps focused on achieving our top corporate objectives, including:Product footprint: developing Sustainable Aviation Fuels and Hydrogen systems.Operational footprint: reducing energy and CO2 emissions, water usage, waste, and air emissions.Chemical substances: reducing or substituting harmful chemicals in line with global regulations.Human rights: maintaining the highest standards throughout our value chain.Supply chain: promoting sustainability within our global supplier network.What you will be doing:The main objective of this role will be to support the UK Sustainability National Representative team with delivering key UK strategic sustainability projects and ensuring wide engagement of the Airbus functions and divisions on sustainability topics.The projects may include scoping new sustainability projects and partnerships for us, data gathering and analysis for implementation of environmental topics, including wellbeing and biodiversity activities, delivering communications and engagement sessions like Sustainability week events or community impact projects with local or national NGOs, thinking proactively about ways to engage our employees on the sustainability journey.On top of having direct access to all there is to know about Sustainability at Airbus and connecting with our Corporate Sustainability department in our Headquarters in Toulouse, you will have an opportunity to develop:Global senior stakeholders managementCommunication and coordination skills in a multi-functional, multi-site/divisional setting;Project management and leadership skills;Data management and analysis;Strategy and commercial awareness;Culture transformation.Requirements:Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.
