Job Views 12DescriptionOur OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Vehicle Architecture Lead Engineerto join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.The position is responsible for the engineering integration process for vehicle architectures.Responsibilities include:
- Design and develop the vehicle technical specifications and attributes across vehicle architectures.
- Lead and resolve complex multifunctional engineering problems.
- Be able to balance competing attributes and requirements to define the optimum engineering solution.
- Analysis of current and future technologies and competitor products to ensure the future competitiveness of our client’s products by influencing client’s strategies, coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
- Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
- Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and Cross-functional Vehicle Systems.
- Enthusiasm for vehicles and their development.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret technical information.
- Good IT literacy eg. ability to create and manage presentations and spreadsheets.
- Full UK driving licence.
- An individual who is results driven with the ability to deliver operational plans in a demanding environment.
- An individual with the ability to prioritise their workload and that of others.
- A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas.
- An effective team player who supports team members.
- Previous experience of whole vehicle development and validation.
- Previous experience of problem-solving tools, e.g. Six sigma methods.
- Previous experience of leading technical issue resolution.
- Relevant engineering degree or other technical degree.
