For customers and drivers, we create availability, flexibility and efficiency.The role of Import/Export Coordinator sits in our Freight team within one of our acquired businesses, CMI Logistics LTD, who pride themselves on offering a quality driven and reliable global freight forwarding service.The role as a Import/Export Coordinator:We are looking for a confident and positive Import/Export Coordinator to join as part of our team in Bradford.The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their knowledge with the processing of import and export clearances and be familiar with Chief, CDS and the new GVMS system. Will be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner and be competent working on various computer systems. Customer service skills are vital to the success of the role, ideally with deep sea operations (import, export or both).This is a great opportunity to develop within a progressive company who are well established within the freight forwarding industry.Responsibilities of a Import/Export Coordinator:
  • Processing of import and export customs clearances
  • Uploading into customs systems all relevant information to produce customs entries
  • Working closely with our customs team to ensure that all files comply with new and changing requirements
  • Liaising with customers re import and export requirements and maintaining customer service
  • Preparing quotations for customers
  • The checking of all relevant documentation and inputting onto Sequoia system,
  • linked to Chief / CDS
  • Dealing with FAS payments
  • Invoicing of jobs
Skills needed for the role of Import/Export Coordinator:
  • Knowledge of deep sea import/export procedures
  • Computer operating systems skills required
  • Familiar with Chief, CDS and GVMS systems
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
  • Deep Sea operational experience (desirable)
