- Deliver inspirational teaching across health and social care programmes
- Provide teaching and assessment in line with awarding organisation requirements
- Maintain teaching materials on VLE and online platforms
- Prepare comprehensive Schemes of Work and Assessment
- Conduct standardisation, assessment and internal quality assurance
- Work flexible hours including evenings, Saturdays and summer periods
- Act as personal tutor, supporting learners with progress monitoring
- Track and review student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Provide regular feedback to students, parents/guardians and employers
- Support work placement elements of programmes
- Lead one or more health and social care programmes
- Assist with student recruitment and admissions
- Attend promotional events and contribute to marketing materials
- Participate in course team reviews and curriculum development
- Liaise with external awarding organisation representatives
- Develop and maintain industry links with health and social care professionals
- Engage in continuous professional development in specialist areas
- Stay current with health and social care legislation, policies and best practices
- Teaching/Training qualification (or commitment to obtain)
- Relevant Health and Social Care/Health Science qualification (minimum Level 3)
- Maths and English qualifications (minimum Level 2)
- Enhanced DBS with Barred List check (required)
- Recent and relevant health and social care industry experience
- Previous teaching/lecturing experience in Further Education environment preferred
- Experience in student workplace supervision and support
- Comprehensive knowledge of current Health and Social Care legislation and policies
- Current Health and Safety knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve excellence
- Strong teamwork and relationship-building capabilities
- Well-developed time-management and organisational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
- Clean driving licence
