– Complete statutory visits for Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC).
– Chair CIN and Core Group Meetings, ensuring well-coordinated care plans.
– Hold a caseload of CIN, CP, and CIC, including some cases in Pre-Proceedings (PLO) or Section 31 Care Proceedings.
– Prepare court reports, and conduct risk and parenting assessments with a focus on accuracy and detail.
– Support and actively participate in the duty rota.
– Attend Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC) and Review Child Protection Conferences (RCPC), and draft comprehensive conference reports.
– Have an active role in risk management and assessment, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families.Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:
– A degree or equivalent in social work with current registration with Social Work England.
– Significant frontline experience within UK Social Services as a qualified social worker, demonstrating your capability in dealing with demanding situations.Experience the charm and history of Cambridgeshire, a vibrant area renowned for picturesque landscapes and rich cultural scene.
