We are working with a civil engineering contractor with a strong presence across the North East of Scotland. Known for delivering high-quality infrastructure, groundworks, roads and utilities projects.Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming work, they are now seeking an Experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in Aberdeen. This is a permanent role offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead on multiple civil engineering projects across the region.As Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery in terms of safety, programme, cost, and quality. You'll work closely with site teams, commercial staff and clients to ensure our high standards are maintained across the board.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and delivery of civil engineering contracts across the North East
  • Manage site teams, subcontractors and direct labour
  • Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Monitor project progress, contract compliance and financial performance
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers, engineers and site staff
  • Contribute to tender reviews, forecasting and commercial strategy
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role within civil engineering - groundworks, infrastructure, roads, & utilities
  • Strong understanding of NEC and other standard construction contracts
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
  • Effective communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence
