- Up to date training and ability to administer all vaccinations
- Level 3 NVQ, working towards or equivalent
- Education in chronic diseases
- Previous experience working with dementia, mental health learning disabilities
- Care Certificate
- Previous experience working as a HCA in a doctors surgery
- Ability to use own initiative
- Ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
- Experience of working within a busy team
- Evidence of ongoing personal and practice development
- Understanding of local and national policies for primary care, including QOF
- Knowledge of safeguarding
- Self-motivated
- Willingness to undertake further training
- Able to work within the UK without sponsorship from Portsdown Group Practice
- Computer Literate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including verbal, written and face to face
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Ability to self-motivate, organise and prioritise workload
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
- Flexible approach and willingness to adjust to the changing needs of the Practice
- An understanding and acceptance of ones capabilities and awareness of own limitations
- Good keyboard skills
- Phlebotomy, Patient Health Checks, Blood pressure
- Wound care
- Administration of vaccines
- Previous experience with SystmOne
