HGV Technician required in Andover.
  • Between £18.50-21.50 per hour pending experience plus a bonus scheme, shift allowance, and overtime availability.
  • 45-hour week with multiple shift patterns available (discussed further upon inquiry).

Our client, one of the UK's largest automotive dealer groups, is currently looking to recruit a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician for their franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership located in Andover.Reporting to the Workshop Manager and working as part of a team, your key objectives will include:
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance of all HGVs across our client's range.
  • Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair; this work may include warranty-approved work in line with brand parameters.
  • Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified).
  • Completing job cards and electronic write-ups on franchise platforms.
  • Completion of electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs).
  • Support Apprentice Technicians as required.
To be eligible, you will need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and ideally have several years' experience beyond your qualification. Overall, you will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Applicants with an active HGV driving license would be highly advantageous to our client; however, this is non-essential.What's in it for you?
