Day to Day Duties:Working as a Transport Clerk for our client your duties will be:
  • Coordinating and managing transport operations
  • Scheduling deliveries and collections
  • Briefing & De-briefing drivers
  • Maintaining vehicle records
  • Ensuring compliance
  • Communicating with drivers
  • Monitoring and Tracking
Essential Skills:As a Transport Clerk, the following are essential:
  • Proficient in Microsoft package
  • Communication skills
  • Writing skills
  • At least six months experience working in a transport environment
  • Good knowledge of vehicle compliance – Servicing / defects
  • Good knowledge of driver compliance – Tachomaster / infringements / driver holidays
  • Have good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Able to support the Transport Manager in the day to day running of the transport department
Training:
  • Industry related training and ongoing support
