Maintenance Engineer - Nights (FMCG)Location: Diss, NorfolkSalary: Up to £52,000 per annumShift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - Nights (12-hour shifts)Industry: FMCG / Manufacturing / Fast-Paced ProductionAre you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two nights are the same?We're looking for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team at a leading FMCG manufacturer. You'll play a critical role in keeping our production lines running smoothly by carrying out planned maintenance and reacting swiftly to breakdowns. If you thrive in a hands-on role and enjoy solving problems under pressure, this could be the opportunity for you.What you'll be doing:
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of production and packaging machinery.
  • Responding to and resolving electrical and mechanical breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects and root cause analysis.
  • Working with a variety of equipment including conveyors, motors, pumps, sensors, and control panels.
  • Completing all work to the highest standards in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Recording all maintenance activity using CMMS systems.
Skills required to be Nights Maintenance Engineer:
  • Qualified in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Multi skilled with an ELECTRICAL or MECHANICAL bias
  • The successful Nights Maintenance Engineer must be from ANY Industrial, manufacturing or ARMED FORCES B/G (RAF, NAVY, REME, MARINE, BRITISH ARMY)
  • Strong fault-finding skills with a solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • The successful Nights Maintenance Engineer must be happy to work perm nights!
