We are seeking an interim Systems Accountant responsible for leading and coordinating finance systems to support the work of colleagues within the Finance team whilst driving continuous improvement to the financial systems utilised.
  • Responsible for all enquiries and requests for improvements and changes to the financial systems
  • Act as the lead Finance team interface with IT colleagues for all significant financial systems issues and enhancement requests
  • Manage the Chart of Accounts in the reporting hierarchies of all affected systems
  • Ensure that all essential system administration tasks are performed to standard. Act
  • as / delegate the roles of Oracle super-user
  • Maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the P2P purchase ordering system,
  • including supporting system development
  • Become the technical lead on Bluebox, offering solutions and guidance on system optimisation.
  • Support the Capital Finance team to set up scheme codes, build development scheme reports, implement enhancements to streamline intercompany recharges
  • Manage end-user queries and triage / resolve as necessary
  • Overseeing the operation of financial systems and procedures.

  • Qualified or qualified by experience Accountant
  • Strong finance background, understanding core controls and
  • accounting
  • Experience of the various software applications typically
  • used within a finance function
  • Experience of developing high quality financial reports
  • Ability to build strong and productive relationships with colleagues from outside the Finance function,
  • particularly IT colleagues
  • Experience of using Microsoft Excel to an advanced level

  • Day rate of £350 - £450
