One of the largest and most successful MGA businesses in the UK controlling over £115m GWP are looking to appoint a Senior New Business Underwriter to focus on delivering an exceptional service to their customers in the North Region.The opportunities will be focussed around the Property & Casualty lines of business in the Mid Market space utilising the significant underwriting empowerment in place.AS A SENIOR NEW BUSINESS UNDERWRITER YOU WILL:
Work with strategic partner brokers on a range of new business presentations across a wide variety of trades.
Lead the New Business underwriting activity for the business across the North Region.
Work in partnership with the wider Underwriting Team to deliver quick and efficient underwriting solutions to new business opportunities.
Lead referrals into the capacity provider with innovative solutions to gain buy in to provide terms of risks which perhaps sit outside of general appetite.
Work closely with the Distribution team to support the business in messaging clearly to the market around appetite and product suite.
Work within extensive authority levels and maintain underwriting discipline to protect the company's profitable position
AS A SENIOR NEW BUSINESS UNDERWRITER YOU WILL HAVE:
An experienced Senior Underwriter with a strong track record of new business delivery in Property & Casualty lines of business.
Excellent relationship buildings skills and a friendly and approachable manner
An ability to prioritise and deliver market leading terms within deadlines which can sometimes be demanding.
