In this role, you'll play a key part in reviewing and ensuring electrical design deliverables meet high standards and project goals, while providing vital support and leadership to senior electrical engineers. Collaborate with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team across a wide range of water infrastructure projects and national programmes and expand your professional network through our strong partnerships. This is your chance to grow your expertise while contributing to cutting-edge, outcome-focused solutions that make a real difference.What you'll be doing:🟢 Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers to manage quality, time, and cost throughout the electrical design review process.🟢 Ensure all electrical deliverables, including LV installations and instrumentation specifications, meet required standards and project specifications.🟢 Review and verify electrical designs, schematics, cable calculations, and contractor submissions for accuracy and compliance.🟢 Provide timely responses to construction site design queries and manage change requests effectively.🟢 Support resource forecasting, recruitment, and performance management of senior electrical engineers within the Business Unit.🟢 Lead health and safety compliance, including CDM participation and ensuring designs meet all relevant electrical standards and regulations.🟢 Mentor and develop junior staff, including graduates and apprentices, fostering continuous improvement within the electrical team.🟢 Drive innovation and transformation by adopting new digital technologies, embedding standard procedures, and supporting sustainable, low-carbon design practices.What you'll bring:✅ An engineering, or equivalent, degree, or be able to demonstrate a degree level of ability through relevant experience.
✅ Experience of water-sector assets and capital projects.
✅ Knowledge of all relevant regulations, standards and codes of practice.
✅ Experience of mentoring and coaching of junior engineers.
