
Payroll and Purchase Ledger Clerk

- Process employee payroll accurately and in a timely manner using Sage payroll (payroll is outsourced)
- Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage the purchase ledger, including coding and posting supplier invoices.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist with payment runs and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Respond to payroll and purchase ledger-related queries from employees and suppliers.
- Support the accounting and finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
- Ensure all financial data is accurately recorded and securely stored.
- Previous experience in payroll and purchase ledger roles within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems.
- A strong understanding of payroll regulations and financial processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage deadlines effectively and work independently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with employees, suppliers, and team members.
- A salary of £30-35k
- 37.5 hour working week with flexibility
