We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Passenger Assistant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.Hours per week: 20.00Rate of Pay: £12.26 - £15.82 per hourSummary:To undertake a range of passenger transport functions within Fleet Operations, ensuring effective provision in line with service requirements and customer needs.Responsibilities:
  • Support the driver in ensuring the safe transportation of children to and from school.
  • Assist children when boarding and alighting from the vehicle, including the safe securing of wheelchair users and those with mobility needs.
  • Supervise children throughout the journey, ensuring appropriate behaviour and safety standards are maintained.
  • Provide reassurance and assistance to children with additional needs or disabilities.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with children, parents, carers, and school staff.
Experience:
  • Experience in the transportation of passenger
  • Minimum of 4 years, driving experience
  • Experience in working to tight schedule
  • Experience of working with vulnerable people
Requirements:
  • A full endorsement free driving licence that includes category D Licence
  • Manual Handling training
  • Ability to work without close supervision
  • Emergency First Aid Qualification
  • Wheelchair securing knowledge
