- Lead Environmental Excellence: Take charge of environmental performance across projects up to the value of £140m, ensuring sustainability is embedded from design through to delivery.
- Shape Strategy and Innovation: Influence the environmental direction of major infrastructure projects, contributing to enterprise-wide sustainability goals and low-carbon solutions.
- Navigate Complex Regulations: Manage planning permissions, environmental permits, and regulatory relationships with confidence and clarity.
- Champion Biodiversity and Carbon Reduction: Drive initiatives that protect local ecosystems and reduce carbon footprints across water and wastewater sites.
- Empower and Educate: Deliver impactful training and coaching to operational teams, embedding a culture of environmental responsibility at every level.
- Grow Your Own Team: Lay the groundwork for a high-performing environmental team – starting with one direct report and expanding to a team of 3-4 over the next few years as the programme evolves.
- Experienced Environmental Leader: You bring a well-rounded background in environmental management, ideally within infrastructure or utilities, and thrive in complex project environments.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinker: You’re comfortable interpreting environmental data and turning insights into practical, high-impact actions.
- Confident Communicator and Collaborator: You build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and internal teams, influencing decisions and driving engagement.
- Compliance and Assurance Expert: You know your way around permits, consents, and assurance frameworks – and you ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
