Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As a Fidessa Developer in our Trading & Execution Services team, you will gain in depth knowledge of Capital Markets, establish strong partnerships with business units and technologists around the world, and develop your skills by providing creative, technical solutions to solve complex business issues within Equities Technology.In this job role, you would work on detailed technical design and development of Fidessa applications, apply experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practice to perform a variety of assignments.What will you do?Design and development of cash equities business requirements on the Fidessa order management systemWork closely with regional and global business sponsors to understand their requirements and architect, design and execute technical solutionsCollaborate with regional and global team members to form high quality solutionsProvide guidance and mentoring for new team members as necessaryIdentify business, technology and people risks. Identify solutions or mitigating controlsAssist with 3rd line support as requiredWhat do you need to succeed?Must have:A strong understanding of equities tradingExtensive professional experience, with hands-on development experience with the Fidessa vendor trading platformExcellent programming skills in languages such as Java and PythonDemonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skillsStrong organizational, project management and time management capabilitiesDeadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneouslyNice-to-have:A strong understanding of other asset class domains across Capital MarketsExperience with other components of platforms e.g. algo containers, tick databases, etcExperience using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, ConfluenceKnowledge of messaging systems (e.g. SOLACE)Experience using The Java Spring frameworkWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
