Supply Desk is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Music Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Hemel Hempstead. You will teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, in an environment that celebrates creativity, performance, and musical excellence.This temporary-to-permanent role is perfect for someone looking to make a real impact in the classroom, with the potential to move into a permanent position.Whether you are an Early Career Teacher ready for your first post, or an experienced educator seeking a fresh challenge, we would be delighted to hear from you.We are looking for someone who:
  • Has strong knowledge of music theory, performance, and composition
  • Can inspire a love of music in pupils of all abilities and backgrounds
  • Has experience of leading school performances, ensembles, or choirs (desirable but not essential)
  • Holds a degree in Music, Music Education, or a related subject (or equivalent teaching experience)
Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging music lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Inspiring pupils through performance, composition, and creative projects
  • Preparing pupils for concerts, competitions, and examinations
  • Leading or contributing to extracurricular music groups such as orchestras, choirs, or bands
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues in the creative arts to develop cross-curricular opportunities
