Now is an exciting time to join our team as we embark on this transformative journey towards a greener futureAbout the roleIn this role as Warehouse Supervisor based at 26th Berth, you will effectively manage people, plant, automation, and other resources to achieve shift throughput targets while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Key responsibilities:Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goodsEnsure compliance with maintenance standards, health and safety regulations, and company proceduresDemonstrate flexibility to meet operational requirements, including weekend workingMeasure and report the effectiveness of warehouse activities, assets, and employee performanceOrganise and maintain inventory, ensuring storage areas are accurate, efficient, and well maintainedMaintain accuracy of shipments and inventory transactionsCommunicate job expectations, coach, and support employees to drive performance and productivityDetermine staffing levels, allocate workload, and oversee shift welfareInterface with customers to answer queries and resolve operational issuesMaintain item records, documentation, and reporting to project warehouse status and peak requirementsIdentify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative or revised work practicesCollaborate with other departments across the Port and Group to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective operationsOperate plant and equipment as requiredUndertake other projects or duties as necessary for the Port and wider Group businessWhat are we looking for?We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to drive performance through people and process management. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require working across different shifts and supporting overtime when operational needs demand.   • Proven leadership and team management experience in a warehouse or similar operational environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage people, processes, and performance effectively
  • Proficiency in warehouse systems and data analysis, with solid MS Office knowledge (SAP experience preferred)
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence
