- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in engineering technical project/program management.
- Experience planning power transmission and substation infrastructure projects, capacity reservation processes.
- Experience managing relationships and leading critical negotiations for infrastructure projects.
- Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- EIT or a Licenced Professional Engineer with equivalent experience or applicable sustainable infrastructure certification.
- Experience with techno-economic analysis/financial modeling for electric transmission or substation infrastructure projects.
- Experience with planning, negotiating, developing, and commissioning of large-scale electric transmission or substation infrastructure projects.
- Proven track-record in a cross-functional role at the interface of engineering and commercial teams.
- Ability to independently develop data-driven technical insights and translate into executable commercial solutions for the business at-large.
- Support site specific energy supply growth efforts and data center interconnection strategy and execution in partnership with local utilities and Transmission System Operators (TSOs).
- Develop business cases for new power generation resources (either on, near, or offsite), transmission system expansion, and other novel approaches of capacity delivery for new large loads.
- Work with execution teams across the organization, translate grid operators’ technical requirements into project and future product requirements (e.g. on-site battery energy storage solutions) to guide new site selection efforts and unblock paths to grid capacity.
- Collaborate with TSO and other stakeholders on transmission expansion plans by leading independent modeling of transmission needs and constraints search of alternative solutions to mitigate grid constraints, and assess regional resource adequacy roadmaps.
- Optimize existing and develop new transmission infrastructure for system reliability and security of power supply.
