- Capture and retain knowledge for easy retrieval to support decision-making.
- Apply artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, to solve real business problems and enhance decision-making processes.
- Contribute to internal Functional forums.
- Currently undertaking an undergraduate or integrated master’s degree with the opportunity to spend 1 year in industry starting in September 2026.
- Degree subject must be within biological science, information science, engineering, computer science, or data science/analytics.
- Knowledge of oncology and drug development, as well as proficiency in utilizing biomedical literature databases (if you are a student of biological sciences).
- Hands-on experience coding in Python, R, or Julia and have worked on projects involving machine learning, data analysis, or AI (if you are a student of data/computer science)
- Understanding of the basics of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning and have used AI libraries or frameworks, such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, in coursework or projects.
- Interest in new AI technologies like agentic AI—systems that can act independently or support human decision-making—and would like to learn how to build or use such agents.
- Good organizational skills and can plan, manage, and deliver small projects or assignments.
- Ability to see opportunities, learn, and apply that learning to drive innovation.
- Good collaboration and teamworking skills.
- You enjoy learning, solving problems, and coming up with innovative ideas.
- Awareness of basic machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) concepts.
- Experience and insight into the architecture and practical application of Agentic AI systems, and experience of designing or contributing to the semi-autonomous or autonomous intelligent agents that support automated decision-making or workflow optimization.
- Familiarity with basic literature search methods.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power Bi or Tableau.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) when working on coding projects
- Clearly explain your findings and AI-related work to technical and non-technical audiences.
