- Critical Care Nursing Qualification (or working towards for secondment)
- Clinical Leadership Programme
- Demonstrates a high level of clinical expertise in critical care
- Good understanding of clinical governance
- Ability to effectively problem solve
- Change management, team building, communication and organisational skills
- Experience of Patient and Public Involvement in Service Delivery
- Experience of planning, implementing and evaluating staff training needs
- Evidence of innovation and achievements in Clinical Practice
- Development of multi disciplinary working practices
- Use initiative and has the ability to lead and co-ordinate a multi disciplinary team with minimal supervision
- Good verbal and written skills
- Acts as a Clinical Role model and as a Mentor, Assessor and Support for learners within the ward or unit
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Participates in formal and informal teaching
