We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Project Manager to join our team in Cambridge.Responsibilities: As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a variety of projects, primarily focused on IT systems and applications. Your duties will include:
- Identifying business needs, improving efficiency, and solving existing users' problems.
- Producing quality documentation to defined standards (Prince2 based with some tailoring).
- Planning workloads and working flexibly to deadlines.
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders from senior management to end-users.
- Researching business system capabilities and providing well-thought-out proposals and reasoning.
- Complying with Trust information governance standards.
- Ability to explain complex systems and problems in simple terms to an audience with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Understanding the difference between on-premise and cloud solutions and knowing when to utilize either or both for effective system design.
- Quality customer advice and support.
- Implementation of system usage and data quality monitoring mechanisms.
- Configuration of operationally critical systems and applications.
- Windows server administration and configuration including IIS.
- Microsoft SQL experience including tools like SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
- A solid understanding of the importance of information security and how to uphold standards around this.
- An understanding of how all components of a complex IT system interact together from networking to client applications.
- Follow change control and operational procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Ability to communicate transparently with senior managers.
- Logical approach to problem-solving.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- A natural enthusiasm for technology and learning.
- Previous project management experience.
