- Working on civil and military airport projects, from large-scale international airports to general aviation airfields, for both owners/operators and contractors under Design & Build contracts.
- Leading design teams in the coordination, production, and management of multiple projects concurrently.
- Developing and maintaining strong, positive client relationships.
- Taking a leading role in the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
- Implementing and maintaining project management processes, including quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).
- Preparing engineering design reports, project definition documents, construction plans, work programmes, and technical specifications.
- Contributing to the growth and development of Early Careers team members through mentoring and guidance.
- Takes full ownership of project deliverables, aligning technical resources and team efforts to meet programme, quality, and budget expectations.
- Actively supports and mentors' early careers engineers, providing technical guidance and constructive feedback.
- Strong communication skills, able to build trust with internal and external stakeholders while representing AECOM with credibility.
- Proven experience in civil design, planning, and construction support within the airport environment, with exposure to large-scale aviation projects..
- Detailed knowledge of Civil Aviation standards and recommended practices (ICAO, EASA, CAA, FAA, MAA, etc.).
- Working knowledge of DMRB and highway civil engineering design and knowledge of drainage design principles.
- Experience in project management, covering both technical delivery and financial/commercial aspects.
- Knowledge of and experience with NEC3/4 contracts
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent);
- Professional qualification: Membership (or approaching) of the Institution of Civil Engineers or similar qualification.
- Knowledge or experience with Digital Delivery, including BIM and common data environments.
- Experience using AutoCAD (preferably Civil 3D).
- Knowledge or experience in AviPlan or similar aircraft tracking software
