This position will report to the Reliability, Maintainability and Safety (RMS) Team with a focus on driving robust design and Design for Reliability practices into product development as well as leading certification compliance for all Aerospace programs globally. Responsibilities include data analysis, performing RMS analyses at both a component and system level, providing insight and feedback to internal and external customers, and to support the push for Design for Reliability onto all products. Support product designs and improvements through qualitative and quantitative analysis. Conduct RMS engineering analyses at the component level, including Reliability Prediction Report, Maintainability Analysis, and Failure Modes and Effects (Criticality) Analysis and Design Assurance Level for various types of commercial and military aircraft. Support various safety analyses, including system-level Failure Modes and Effects (Criticality) Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and Common Mode Analysis for various types of commercial and military aircraft. Support a comprehensive risk management process and DfR, such as DFMEA, robustness models (P-diagram), and a program risk management log. Support PROLaunch/ACES swim lanes for new product development. Have a general understanding of reliability estimation methods, such as Reliability Block Diagrams, NPRD, MIL-HDBK-217, and others. Support customer in-service product inquiries regarding products. Read and interpret internal, industrial, and customer product specifications, and make recommendations for enhancements based on engineering analysis and field data. Support reliability and safety analyses for mechanical and electrical components, either individually or through team efforts. Basic understanding of aerospace safety standards (DO-178C and DO-254A). Understand basic state-of-the-practice methods for aircraft certification (ARP4754A and ARP 4761). Support Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) process, driving continuous improvement through a statistical problem-solving approach. Bachelor Degree in Engineering Minimum 2 years experience in new electrical or electronics product development programs, including product launch phase Experience working with reliability/safety teams, product development teams, and internal and external customers Knowledge of basic probability and statistics Knowledge of handling large data sets Legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom without company sponsorship Relocation is included for this position Knowledge of fuel systems, aircraft systems, and/or hydraulic control systems Statistical tools knowledge (DoE, Weibull, Minitab) Preferably DFSS Greenbelt certification Knowledge of the DFMEA, Risk log, and 8D process Experience with reliability modeling, FMEAs/FMECAs, fault tree analyses, and analyzing large data sets Experience with warranty calculations Experience with ALT/HALT/HASS methods Experience with Windchill Quality Solutions or similar RMS software
